Father Hrudaya
Father Hrudaya Raju Kondamudi is the oldest child in a family of 6, which includes his parents, two brothers and one sister. He is a blessed uncle to 3 handsome nephews and 4 beautiful nieces.
Father Hrudaya always dreamed of becoming a priest, and entered seminary upon graduation from high school. He was ordained to the priesthood on March 26, 2008, in the Guntur district in the Coastal Andhra region of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. He served at five parishes in the Diocese of Guntur before coming to the Diocese of Amarillo in the fall of 2017.
Father Hrudaya began serving our diocese as Parochial Vicar at St. Vincent de Paul Church (Pampa) and as Chaplain at the Rufe Jordan and Baten Transfer Facility Units of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice beginning September 30, 2017.
In March 2018, he took over as Administrator at St. Francis of Assissi (Amarillo) while continuing to work in Prison Ministry.
Father Hrudaya was appointed Pastor for Sacred Heart (White Deer) and St. Theresa (Panhandle) beginning on the Solemnity of Our Lord Jesus Christ, King of the Universe in November 2018.
